The Copa America draw

The draw for the 2024 Copa America took place on December 7th, 2023 in Miami. It determined the groups as well as the full schedule of group stages of the Copa America.

Qualified nations for the Copa America

The tournament automatically includes all 10 teams from CONMEBOL. Additionally, six teams from CONCACAF joined the tournament, qualifying through League A of the Nations League.

In total, the 2024 Copa America featured 16 nations: 10 from South America and 6 from the North American region.

The cities and stadiums hosting the Copa America

The United States of America hosted the last edition of the Copa América, in 2024.

The opening match took place on June 20th at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium (71,000 fans) in Atlanta, Georgia.

Meanwhile, the Copa América Final was played at the Hard Rock Stadium (65 thousand fans) in Miami, Florida, on July 14th, 2024.

In the first position, current Copa América champions Argentina has won the trophy on 16 occasions. Uruguay is trailing its neighbours with 15. Brazil is far behind with 9 “Copas”.
