About Etihad Stadium, Manchester City's home ground
The Etihad City of Manchester Stadium was built for the 2002 Commonwealth Games, after which it underwent conversion to a 48,000 football stadium in time for Manchester City to move into ahead of the 2003-04 season.
In August 2015, a third tier was added to the South Stand, increasing the capacity to 53,400.
The four stands that make up the Etihad Stadium are the East Stand, South Stand, Family North Stand and Colin Bell West Stand.
The Etihad also hosts the UCFB Manchester University Campus, which also has a campus at Wembley Stadium.

How to get to Etihad Stadium in Manchester
The Etihad Stadium is close to Manchester City Centre and easily accessible via the Metrolink tramway. Services depart from Piccadilly and several city-centre locations which serve the Etihad Campus stop, which also links with nearby Ashton, where there are Park and Ride facilities.
Limited pre-booked car parking is available at the ground, and supporters are encouraged to use Park and Ride at Ashton West and Ashton Moss. Both car parks are less than 25-minutes from the Etihad.
You will also find bus stops close to the Etihad Stadium, with shuttle buses connecting with the city centre.
