Goodison Park has been Everton’s home stadium since the 19th century (1892) and is unique amongst English football grounds with a church, St Luke’s, protruding into the site.
Matches are not held at Goodison Park early on a Sunday to allow services to take place undisturbed.
The capacity is just shy of 40,000, with four stands making up the ground. The Goodison Road stand, and Bullens Road stand flank each side of the pitch, while behind the goals are the Howard Kendall Gwladys Street End and the Sir Philip Carter Park Stand.
Goodison Park played host to the second semi-final of the 1966 World Cup between West Germany and the USSR.

How to get to Goodison Park in Liverpool
Goodison Park is in the Walton area of Liverpool, approximately 2 miles north of Liverpool City Centre.
The nearest mainline station is Liverpool Lime Street. However, Kirkdale station on the Northern Line of the Merseyrail network is just over ½ mile away from Goodison Park. A frequent shuttle bus called “Soccerbus” runs to Sandhills station.
There is some limited on-site parking for supporters (230 spaces).
