Europa Conference League format
The competition format is similar to the other two European club competitions (Champions League and Europa League). The Conference League will begin with several qualifying rounds, followed by a group stage: The thirty-two clubs will be divided into eight groups of four. The first in each group are directly qualified for the round of 16. An additional play-off between the teams classified second in their group and those classified third in their group in the Europa League will allocate the remaining eight places in the round of 16. The final is played as a single match and on neutral ground.
Group stage (September – December 2024)
A total of 32 clubs are drawn into eight groups of 4 (A to H). Ninety-six matches will be played during the group stage of the Conference League.

Europa Conference League Knockout phase (February – May 2025)
The Round of 16 of the competition will begin in February 2025. The Europa Conference League final will occur on the 28th of May, 2025, in Wraclow, Poland.
The winner of the Europa Conference League is qualified for the group stage of the Europa League the following season.

The winners of the Europa Conference League
Olympiacos have won the third edition of the Europa Conference League. The Greek club beat Fiorentina in the final. It was the second defeat in a row in the Conference League final for the Italian club, who lost to West Ham the previous season.
