Europa Conference League format
The competition has changed its format similarly to the other two European club competitions (the Champions League and Europa League). The Conference League will begin with several qualifying rounds, followed by a league stage: The thirty-six clubs are drawn into the same League and will play a total of 6 matches each. The first eight at the end of this first phase qualify to the last 16. The teams between rank 9 and 24 are drawn into a play-offs to allocate the remaining eight places in the round of 16. The final is played as a single match and on neutral ground.
Group stage (September – December 2024)
A total of 32 clubs are drawn into eight groups of 4 (A to H). Ninety-six matches will be played during the group stage of the Conference League.

The Europa Conference League final will take place on the 28th of May, 2025, in Wraclow, Poland. The winner of the Europa Conference League is qualified for the group stage of the Europa League the following season.

The winners of the Europa Conference League
Olympiacos have won the third edition of the Europa Conference League. The Greek club beat Fiorentina in the final. It was the second defeat in a row in the Conference League final for the Italian club, who lost to West Ham the previous season.
