About Villa Park, Aston Villa's home ground
Villa Park has been Aston Villa’s home stadium since 1897 and has played host to 16 England internationals, the first taking place in 1899. In addition, 55 FA Cup semi-finals have been played at Villa Park, more than any other venue.
In addition, the ground was used when England hosted the 1966 FIFA World Cup and 1996 UEFA European Championships.
There are four stands: The Holte End at the south of the ground, the Trinity Road stand, Doug Ellis flanking the pitch, and the North Stand behind the other goal.
The ground has undergone many renovations over the years, and another is planned to increase the capacity to 55,000 by 2023.

Aston Villa offers six different seating categories around Villa Park. They are:
Zone 1 – The best seats in the house in the Trinity Road and Doug Ellis Stands, spanning across the halfway line in the second and third tiers.
Zone 2 – Across the halfway line in the lower tier and either side of the second and third tiers of the Trinity Road and the Doug Ellis Stands. In the middle sections of the second tier of the Holte End.
Zone 3 – In the middle sections of the first tier and on either side of the Zone 2 areas of the Hotel End.
Zone 4 – In the second tier of the North Stand, the corner of all levels of the Trinity Road Stand next to the North Stand and the edges of all tiers of the Holte End.
Zone 5 – In the corner between the Trinity Road Stand and Holte End, on the edges of the Holte End.
Zone 6 – At the bottom of the North Stand directly behind the goal.
How to get to Villa Park in Birmingham
Villa Park is outside the city centre but easily accessible by rail. Witton railway station is approximately 500 metres from the ground, while Aston is about 1.5km away. Regular trains serve both stations by regular trains from Birmingham New Street.
