Nations League format
The 2024-2025 Nations League will take place in 3 stages:
Group stages
The Group stages from September to November 2024, during which the 55 nations – divided into four leagues (A, B, C, and D) themselves divided into several groups – compete in the form of a mini-tournament. An accession/relegation system is in place between the four leagues.
The best 16 European national teams are drawn into four groups in League A. The first two of each group qualify for the quarterfinals of the Nations League.
Nations League quarterfinals
The top 2 from each group of League A qualify for the Nations League quarter-finals to be played in March 2025. Note that the promotion/relegation matches will also take place in March.
Nations League finals
Finally, the four quarter-final winners are qualified for the Nations League Finals in June 2025, with the two semi-finals, the third-place match and the Nations League Final, set for June 10th, 2025. The host country will be determined within the four nations qualified for the
