About St James' Park, Newcastle's home ground
St James’ Park has hosted Newcastle home matches since the club’s formation in 1892 but has been used for football since 1880.
The stadium has four stands, which are the Gallowgate End (South Stand), the Leazes End (North Stand), the Milburn Stand (West Stand) and the East Stand.
As well as club football, the ground has been used for several international matches, including Euro ’96 and the 2012 Olympics and international matches in both codes of Rugby.
