The USL Championship soccer league is the second tier of national professional soccer in the USA and is considered the antechamber to MLS, used as a platform to showcase young American talent.
This 2026 season, with the withdrawal of North Carolina and the addition of Brooklyn FC and Sporting Jacksonville, the competition will be contested by 25 clubs, divided into two conferences: 13 franchises in the Eastern Conference and twelve in the Western Conference.
