With the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada just around the corner, the Eredivisie has now laid out its roadmap for the 2026-2027 season. The full fixture list was released on Wednesday, June 10th 2026, confirming all 34 matchdays of the Dutch top league.
The new Eredivisie campaign will kick off on Friday, August 7th 2026, giving international players only a short break after a busy summer. The regular season will come to an end on Sunday, May 23rd 2027, before attention turns to the relegation play-offs.

A Winter Pause at Christmas
The Eredivisie will stop for its winter break after the 17th round of matches on December 20th, 2026. The league is scheduled to resume on the weekend of 8, 9 and 10 of January 2027 with matchday 18.
International Breaks
The Dutch top flight will pause three times during the season for international fixtures.
The first break comes after matchday 7, with the league stopping from September 20th until the return of action on October 11th. The second international window runs from 8 to 22 of November. The final pause of the campaign will take place between matchday 27 on March 21st, 2027 and matchday 28 on April 4th..
