The Spanish League is contested by the 20 best Spanish clubs. It runs over 38 match days from August to May, with a total of 380 matches, each club playing 19 home matches and 19 away matches.
At the end of the season, four clubs qualify directly for the next Champions League. The fifth qualifies for the Europa League, while the sixth goes to the Conference League. At the bottom of the table, the three teams ranked 18th, 19th and last are relegated to the Spanish second division.
